The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NVIDIA have agreed to expand cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) skills development. A proposal has been put forward to establish a regional NVIDIA Physical AI Hub in Kazakhstan.

The proposed initiatives were discussed on October, 23 during the first-ever visit to Kazakhstan by Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

What is Physical AI?

Physical AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that operate in the physical world. These include robots, autonomous vehicles and intelligent industrial equipment.

The new hub will bring together universities and industrial companies to develop workforce capacity and design applied solutions in this field.

The cooperation will be based on the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) programme, which supports the training and certification of instructors, as well as the development of students’ practical AI skills.

At the initial stage, Kazakhstani higher education institutions will gain access to programme courses, educational materials and hands-on training sessions. Faculty members will be able to participate in training free of charge, attend workshops and obtain certification.

Subsequently, trained faculty members will deliver courses and practical sessions for students at their respective universities. The initiative will leverage existing university infrastructure and cloud computing resources, enabling the programme to be scaled up gradually.
