The President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, highly praised the achievements of the Non-Aligned Movement and underscored the relevance of maintaining the principle of neutrality in the current geopolitical landscape. He called on the international community to prioritize mutual cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, investment and tourism over confrontation.

Speaking at the conference, Ambassador B.Sadykov noted that Kazakhstan, since the first days of its independence, has consistently adhered to the fundamental principles of the NAM, the UN, and international law.
He emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to the principles of a multi-vector foreign policy, strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships with countries, and promoting dialogue to overcome differences in order to strengthen peace, security, and cooperation. In this regard, he highlighted the hosting of the Astana International Forum and the Seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan.
B.Sadykov expressed gratitude to the NAM member states for supporting Kazakhstan’s international initiatives, including the adoption of the UN General Assembly Resolution on the creation of the UN Regional Centre for Central Asia and Afghanistan, and the promotion of the initiative to establish an International Agency for Biological Safety.
