At the 6th World Nomad Games, currently taking place in Kyrgyzstan, the Kazakhstan National Team has won two gold medals in audaryspak competitions.
In the up to 60 kg weight category, Nurtalap Kerim defeated an athlete from Kyrgyzstan in the final bout to become the champion of the competition.
In the up to 70 kg weight category, Sailau Mukhamedzhan also faced an athlete from Kyrgyzstan in the final and secured a 2–1 victory. These medals are the Kazakhstan National Team’s first gold medals at the ongoing Games.
Audaryspak is a traditional Kazakh national sport that requires participants to demonstrate strength and agility, speed and courage while wrestling on horseback. Currently, over 11,500 people in Kazakhstan regularly participate in this sport.
