Kazakhstan national ice hockey team wins at Universiade-2023

The Kazakhstan national hockey team under 22 years old held its first match at the Universiade-2023 in Lake Placid (USA),E.kz reports with reference to the Sports.kz.

Kazakhstan played with South Korea and won with a score 5:1. Aldiyar Nurlan (6th minute), Maxim Mussorov (26th), Kirill Polokhov (35th and 37th) and Maxim Mukhametov (39th) scored goals for Kazakhstan; Min Jae-chang (21st) scored for South Korea.

Also, the national team of Kazakhstan will play in a group with the teams of Hungary, Great Britain, Slovakia and the United States. From the group to the playoffs will get the teams that took the first and second places. Kazakhstani hockey players will hold their next match on January 13 - they will play with the Hungarian national team.
