Kazakhstan named boxing team for 2024 Olympics licensed tournament
Kazakhstan has announced the boxing team to participate in the licensed tournament of the 2024 Olympics, which will be held in the Italian city of Busto Arsizio. 668 boxers from 114 countries of the world will take part in this tournament, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture.
The men's team includes the following athletes:
51 kg: Saken Bibosynov
57 kg: Mahmud Sabyrkhan
63.5 kg: Mukhammedsabyr Bazarbayuly
71 kg: Aslanbek Shymbergenov
80 kg: Nurbek Oralbay
92 kg: Aibek Oralbay
In total, 28 quotas will be played in the men's part of the tournament. The competition in Italy will be held from 4 to 12 March.
The composition of the women's team includes the following athletes:
50 kg: Alua Balkybekova
54 kg: Zhaina Shekerbekova
60 kg: Rimma Volosenko
66 kg: Natalia Bogdanova
75 kg: Valentina Khalzova
In the women's part of the tournament, 21 quotas will be played. Recall that at the moment Kazakhstan has two licenses obtained at the 2023 Summer Asian Games in the heavyweight division and in the 57 kg weight category.
The World Licensing Tournament in Busto Arsizio will be a key milestone on the way to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
