Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the ceremony of raising the State Flag at the Atameken Ethno-Memorial Complex in Astana,El.kz reports citing Akorda.
Chief of the Guard of Honor gave a report to the President. Then the National Flag was raised and the National Anthem was played.
President congratulated Kazakhstanis on the Day of State Symbols and reminded them of their deep significance. According to him, the Emblem, Flag, and Anthem are not just official attributes, but a reflection of the sovereignty, unity, and historical heritage of the people.
“The flag raised high embodies the spiritual strength of our people. We must remain faithful to the legacy of our forefathers and proudly carry our banner. This is our sacred duty to future generations," the Head of State noted.
The President emphasized that the flag of Kazakhstan is recognized all over the world. It has been raised on the highest peaks of the planet, waved at international competitions, and this year it accompanied the first independent peacekeeping mission of the Kazakh military.
Tokayev noted that state symbols strengthen patriotism, form a national identity, and unite Kazakhs around common values.
