Kazakhstan Introduces Visa Free Travel for Citizens of Uzbekistan for up to 30 days
The Kazakh Senate has approved an agreement with Uzbekistan that allows visa-free stay in Kazakhstan for up to 30 days,El.kz reports.
In accordance with this agreement, citizens of Uzbekistan have the opportunity to stay in Kazakhstan without registration for up to 30 days, instead of the previous five. Similar conditions are provided to citizens of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
As stated in the opinion of the Senate Committee on Constitutional Legislation, the Judiciary and Law Enforcement, citizens of one of the states can enter, leave, transit and move through the territory of the other party without a special temporary residence permit for 30 days from the date of crossing the border. This rule is subject to a total stay of 90 days in every 180 days.
If the period of stay exceeds 30 days, citizens are required to apply to the relevant authorities for a temporary residence permit.
The innovation will have a positive impact on economic relations, business cooperation and cultural exchange between the two states.
