Kazakhstan intends to open 5 foreign factories for production of water-saving technologies

On behalf of the Head of State, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation is working to attract foreign companies engaged in the production of water-saving technologies to Kazakhstan,El.kz reports citing the press service of the ministry.
Thus, together with the national company Kazakh Invest, three projects are being implemented to launch the production of sprinklers of two Turkish and one Chinese companies in the country. In addition, this year in the Turkestan region, together with Chinese companies, it is planned to open two factories for the production of drip equipment. Today, there are four domestic plants for the production of water-saving technologies in Kazakhstan. These are a plant in the city of Astana, which produces sprinkler machines, two plants in the Turkestan region and the city of Almaty, which produce drip equipment, and one enterprise in the Turkestan region, which produces both types of water-saving systems.
"At the recent expanded meeting of the Government, the Head of State once again noted the importance of attracting foreign technologies and investments to the water industry of Kazakhstan. In addition, our ministry creates all the necessary conditions in the form of subsidies for the transition of farmers to modern water-saving technologies. Last year, this made it possible to introduce such systems on 158 thousand hectares of cultivated areas," said Berikbol Mandibayev, Director of the Ministry's Department for the Development of Water-Saving Technologies.
