Kazakhstan intends to export up to 1 million tons of grain per year to China
This was announced in Beijing at a meeting with China's leading agricultural companies COFCO and CITIC Group by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Karashukeyev, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.
The head of the ministry spoke about the extensive prospects for growth and cooperation in the agro-industrial complex and plans to establish direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
In particular, the management of two Chinese companies COFCO and CITIC Group was asked to supply grain through domestic companies that have significant grain reserves in Kazakhstan and can provide the necessary volumes and quality of grain for export.
In addition, if problematic issues arise in logistics, the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to assist in their prompt resolution.
And already at a meeting with representatives of the Meat Association of the People's Republic of China, Yerbol Karashukeyev noted that Kazakh enterprises expect the speedy resumption of exports of frozen meat: beef, lamb and pork. In addition, domestic factories are ready to supply chilled meat and fish products, poultry meat, eggs and other types of goods.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture discussed the possibility of accreditation of domestic meat processing plants for export to China. Currently, only 4 enterprises have the appropriate permission, the list can be replenished with another 13 companies.
