Kazakhstan intends to create institute of petitions

Now the petitions that have received 50 thousand votes will be considered by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And requests that will collect at least 2500 signatures will be discussed at the district level, El.kz reports with reference to Khabar24.

In general, there is a gradation of the levels of consideration of such applications as district, regional and governmental.

The press center of the Amanat party discussed the draft law "On Public Control". As it became known, this bill provides for the adoption of the institution of petitions. The bill was adopted in the second reading at the plenary session of the Majilis and sent to the Senate for consideration.

"If the number of votes reaches 5,000, then this is the regional level. A special commission shall be created under the maslikhat or akim of the region. At the government level, if there are 50,000 signatures, a decision is made under the leadership of the minister whose competence includes the issue," said Madiyar Kozhakhmet, chairman of the Committee on Civil Society Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
