Kazakhstan hosts SCO Digital Forum
The SCO Digital Forum in Kazakhstan was initiated by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the SCO online summit on July 4, 2023. At the opening ceremony of the meeting of the heads of ministries and departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Mussin made welcoming speeches.
Today, Kazakhstan is a confident leader in the Central Asian region and has achieved significant success in the field of digitalization, GovTech and IT development.
Sustainable growth has turned the country into a leading economy in the Central Asian region, which has led to an increase in living standards and a reduction in poverty, with an average annual growth rate of 5%, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development said.
According to him, one of the fruitful results of the work is that Kazakhstan took the 28th place in the development of e-government in the global development index of the UN "E-government" among 193 countries of the world, and according to the "Index of the quality of online services" our country ranks 8th.
Musin spoke about the work being done today for the development of AI in Kazakhstan. The first is the launch of an AI platform.
"NIT JSC will allow the development of AI, as well as eliminate the risks of monopoly in the field of AI through the launch of an AI platform that will simplify the stages of developing the final product for both the customer and the AI developer," the minister said.
