The appointment of the Dutch specialist will be officially confirmed following approval by the KFF Executive Committee, in accordance with the Federation's statutes.
The Executive Committee meeting will take place in the coming days, after which the contract with the coach will be signed.
As a player, John van 't Schip represented Ajax and Italian club Genoa, while also earning international caps for the Netherlands. He was part of the Dutch national team that won the UEFA European Championship in 1988.
Van 't Schip began his coaching career within the Ajax system. Over the years, he has served as head coach of Ajax, Twente, PEC Zwolle, Mexican club Guadalajara, and Australian side Melbourne City. In 2016, he led Melbourne City to victory in the Australia Cup.
At international level, John van 't Schip has previously managed the national teams of Greece and Armenia.
