Kazakhstan establishes Entrepreneurs’ Day

A new professional holiday Entrepreneurs’ Day has been introduced in Kazakhstan this year. October 29 has been officially designated as the day to honor the country’s entrepreneurs,El.kz reports.
On that date, Kazakhstan adopted the Entrepreneurial Code, which consolidated key laws on business, investment, competition, and state regulation, becoming the foundation of the state’s business support policy.
Today, over 2.3 million entrepreneurial entities are registered in the country. Supporting this sector remains a priority of economic policy.
Since the beginning of the year, over 2,000 projects worth 288 bln tenge have been subsidized, while guarantees for 737 projects totaling 61 bln tenge have been issued. Around 9,000 entrepreneurs have also completed training programs.
