Kazakhstan defeats US in kokpar at World Nomad Games
At the V World Nomad Games, the Kazakhstan national team in kokpar won over the US team with a score of 12-4, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the National and Equestrian Sports Center.
The head coach of the Kazakh national team Abylai Mankeyev noted that the game of the US team has improved significantly compared to previous matches, and stressed the importance of the upcoming meetings. "Tomorrow we have a match with the Russian team. In total, there are five teams in our group, and we have to play three games before reaching the finals. If Kyrgyzstan defeats Turkey, they will reach the final," the coach added.
Teams from 9 countries, including Kazakhstan, the USA, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, China, Mongolia and Turkey, participate in kokpar competitions at the Kazanat hippodrome. A total of 104 athletes participate in the tournament. The final games will be held on September 12.
