Kazakhstan celebrates Day of Digitalization and IT Workers
November 10 – Kazakhstan celebrates as the Day of Digitalization and Information Technology Workers, the El.kz News Agency reports with reference to the CCS.
The previous holiday Day of Communications and Informatization Workers, celebrated on May 17, was renamed the Day of Communication Workers.
The creation of a new professional holiday was initiated by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to support workers in the sphere. Their total number today is more than 155 thousand people.
Digital transformation is one of the main factors that improve the quality of life of society, ensure the growth of labor productivity, and increase the competitiveness of the economy. Specialists in the field of information technology are among the most popular in the labor market.
To date, Kazakhstan shows a positive impulse in the field of digitalization. This year, Kazakhstan ranked 28th in the UN Global E-Government Development Index among 193 countries. In particular, according to the "quality index of online services", our country took the 8th place.
