The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held talks with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, El.kz reports citing the Akorda.
Welcoming the high guest, the Head of State emphasized the significance of the visit for deepening Kazakh-Emirati relations.
According to Kazakh leader, the United Arab Emirates is one of Kazakhstan's key partners.
The President reminded that in 2023, the governments of the two countries signed a Joint Declaration on the implementation of strategic investment projects, and in 2024, the inflow of direct investments from the UAE increased more than twofold, reaching a historical maximum.
Special attention was given to the results of the current visit — during it, more than 20 commercial agreements were signed totaling about $5 billion. These agreements, as Tokaev noted, will become a new step in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and will open additional opportunities in areas such as energy, logistics, digital infrastructure, and industry.
For his part, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that he holds Kazakhstan in special regard, noting the natural beauty of the country and the hospitality of its people.
The Crown Prince emphasized that the signed documents reflect a common vision for future cooperation focused on sustainable development, technological progress, and the well-being of the citizens of both countries.
