Kazakhstan and UAE agree on construction of wind power plant

The President of Kazakhstan signed the Law on the Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the implementation of the wind power plant project, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
The agreement provides for the construction of a wind power plant, which will be financed with the support of investors from the UAE.
The project aims to reduce the carbon footprint, increase the share of alternative energy in the country's energy balance, and develop energy infrastructure in the regions.According to the terms of the agreement, the implementation of the project will take place in several stages while complying with environmental and technological standards.
The introduction of new renewable energy facilities also implies the creation of jobs and the transfer of expertise from foreign specialists.
