Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan agree to expand cooperation in gas industry

Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev met with the Minister of State of Turkmenistan – Chairman of Turkmengaz Maksat Babayev, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Energy.

At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between the countries in the gas industry and the possibility of participating in joint projects.

The Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev expressed confidence that through joint efforts the countries will be able to bring mutually beneficial cooperation to a new level of strategic partnership.

Following the talks, the parties signed a Memorandum of Intent between Turkmengaz and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to strengthen cooperation between the countries in the gas industry.
