Kazakhstan and SCO discuss implementation of energy partnership strategy

In Beijing, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Nurlan Yermekbayev held a conversation with the Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Bakytzhan, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Energy.

The meeting discussed the implementation of the draft strategy for the development of energy cooperation until 2030 and other program documents adopted within the framework of the Organization in the context of supporting the development of modern energy.

The sides share views on the current areas of cooperation between the SCO as part of the efforts of the member states on the energy transition and the introduction of energy innovations.

The Secretary-General informed his interlocutor about the ongoing work to improve the activities of the SCO, including those aimed at increasing the efficiency and practical impact of the work of the relevant cooperation mechanisms.
