Kazakhstan and Organization of Turkic States strengthen cooperation in sports and tourism

Tourism and Sports Minister Yerbol Myrzabossynov met with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.

The meeting discussed topical issues of cooperation in the field of tourism and sports between the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States. Kazakhstan, as an active participant in this platform, supports initiatives aimed at strengthening fraternal relations and consolidating the Turkic world.

Yerbol Myrzabossynov proposed holding regular championships and tournaments in ethnosport among the countries of the Organization of Turkic States, which will help strengthen sports ties and preserve the cultural traditions of the Turkic peoples.

"Kazakhstan considers the World Nomad Games as the most important event aimed at preserving and popularizing the unique cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples. We are confident that the Nomad Games will help not only promote sports traditions, but also strengthen ethnic ties between our peoples," the minister said.
