Kazakhstan and Oman strengthen cooperation in transport and logistics sector

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate of Oman Aidarbek Tumatov held a meeting with the CEO of the Oman’s logistic company “Asyad Group” Abdurahman Al-Hatmi, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
The parties discussed in detail the prospects of transport and logistics cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman in the light of the expansion of mutual foreign trade relations.
In particular, the issues of developing a transit and transport corridor between the countries through Iran and the possibility of creating a joint Kazakh-Omani logistics company were discussed. The Omani side has shown a keen interest in these proposals from the Kazakh side.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to maintain working contacts, as well as to begin implementing these issues in the transport sector during the upcoming first meeting of the Kazakhstan-Oman Intergovernmental Commission in December, 2025.
