Kazakhstan and Japan discuss issues of cooperation in ecology
Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zulfiya Suleimenova and the Parliamentary Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Ms. Yoshikawa Yuumi, during a bilateral meeting, discussed issues of mutual cooperation in the field of ecology, El.kz reports.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Japanese side expressed interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan within the framework of the joint lending mechanism (JCM). This mechanism promotes the diffusion of advanced technologies and infrastructure to reduce emissions, as well as the implementation of measures to mitigate climate change.
In addition, JCM provides for the implementation of climate projects aimed at reducing or absorbing greenhouse gas emissions.
The parties discussed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation on a joint lending mechanism at the level of the governments of the two countries.
