Kazakhstan and Germany ready to develop exchange of students and teachers

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek met with the Minister of Economy, Science and Digital Society of Thuringia (Germany) Wolfgang Tiefensee. During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education and science,  El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.

During the talks, issues of expanding cooperation between Kazakh and German universities were discussed.

"The parties are ready to develop the exchange of students and teachers in the field of technical areas, energy and artificial intelligence," the press service reports.

Wolfgang Tiefensee spoke about the events planned during the Thuringian delegation trip to Kazakhstan. Namely, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Nordhausen and KAZGUU University and the strengthening of cooperation with the Kazakh-German University (KNU).

In turn, Sayasat Nurbek told the guest about the "500 Scientists" program. He noted that the Kazakh side is ready to consider German universities and research centers for scientific internships by domestic scientists and researchers.

At the end of the event, the Minister thanked the German delegation for the visit and expressed hope for further cooperation.
