Kazakhstan and Germany implementing 26 projects worth $1.8 billion
Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development Ilyas Ospanov took part in the 14th meeting of the Kazakh-German Business Council for Strategic Cooperation, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.
The meeting of the discussion platform was devoted to the topic "New Kazakhstan - new opportunities for cooperation".
According to the vice minister, to date, industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany is 26 projects worth $1.8 billion. The positive results of jointly implemented projects for the production of agricultural machinery with CLAAS and REIMANN, which in turn is engaged in the production of trailed machinery were also noted.
"Taking into account the fact that the automotive industry in Germany is the leading industry, the Kazakh side is interested in the further development of close cooperation ties in this industry, including agricultural machinery," Ilyas Ospanov emphasised .
Summing up the meeting, the parties noted the importance of developing transit flows between Europe, Central Asia and China through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and also stressed the importance of developing further cooperation between the two countries.
