Kazakhstan and France expand medical cooperation

Astana hosted Kazakhstan-French business forum on healthcare development issues. Ministers from both countries participated in the event, as well as representatives from over thirty French companies, El.kz reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, several key agreements were signed during the forum, covering a wide range of areas: from the development of the pharmaceutical industry and the implementation of innovations to the modernization of medical infrastructure and the enhancement of personnel qualifications.
The parties agreed on joint efforts to localize the production of pharmaceutical products, promote scientific research, and implement modern technologies in diagnostics and treatment, including in the fields of telemedicine and oncological screening.
Mechanisms for technical assistance were also discussed, including the supply of equipment and the implementation of infrastructure projects.
Kazakh medical universities and research centers outlined prospects for academic exchange with French colleagues.
The Minister of Health of Kazakhstan noted that the business forum has become an important platform for strengthening business ties and expanding partnerships with one of the leading countries in Europe.
According to Akmaral Alnazarova, the agreements reached will open new opportunities for the development of the industry and the improvement of the quality of medical services in the country.
France traditionally ranks among Kazakhstan's strategic partners, and cooperation in the field of healthcare plays a crucial role in the bilateral agenda.
