Kazakhstan and France discuss cooperation in field of industry
Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Marat Karabayev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Didier Canesse, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
During the talks, the parties discussed preparations for the meeting with the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Affairs Abroad under the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic by Olivier Bésht, meetings of the Kazakh-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Affairs and the Commission on Cooperation in the Field of Armaments.
Marat Karabayev noted that France is among the five major investors in the Kazakh economy of Kazakhstan. At the end of 2022, the trade turnover between the countries grew by 30.3% to $ 4 billion.
"France is our strategic partner and a reliable friend. There are over 170 companies with the participation of French capital in Kazakhstan, including such large TNCs as Total, Orano, Alstom, Danone, Vicat, Saint Gobain, the events will give impetus to the development of relations between our countries and will serve to create new joint projects," the Kazakh minister emphasized.
In addition, Marat Karabayev and Didier Caness "compared notes" on the implementation of cooperation projects in the field of industry, transport and defense industry.
