Kazakhstan and France agree on cooperation in field of modernization of water supply systems and sewage treatment facilities
The Kazakh delegation took part in the international exhibition of innovative environmental and energy technologies in Europe "Pollutec" in the city of Lyon, France, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The program of the Pollutec exhibition includes all aspects of environmental protection, including the protection of natural resources and environmentally friendly human activities. Within the framework of the exhibition, numerous conferences and business meetings were held to discuss the issues of water supply and sanitation systems, air pollution, treatment of gas and smoke emissions, industrial, natural, geotechnical risks and much more.
The Kazakh delegation also attended several conferences, such as "Conservation of water resources", "Use of digital technologies to protect water resources", "Build a wastewater treatment system of tomorrow - the strategy of the Lyon urban district".
There was also a visit to the wastewater treatment center, including the Aquapole sludge methanization unit, where the Kazakh delegation got acquainted with the technologies of the French sewage treatment plants in Grenoble.
Deputy Chairman A. Pazylbekuly thanked the French side for the invitation and fruitful meeting, and also noted the intention of further cooperation with French colleagues on the development of urban wastewater treatment systems in Kazakhstan, turning them into a tool for adapting to climate change and the pressure on natural resources.
