A transport aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic took off from the Prague-Kbely military airfield carrying a second group of Przewalski’s horses destined for the Kazakh steppes. This transfer is part of an international reintroduction project aimed at returning this rare species to its historical habitat. Another group of horses is being transported from Hortobágy National Park in Hungary.

Prior to departure, a press conference was held with the participation of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic Bakyt Dyussenbayev, Director of Prague Zoo Miroslav Bobek, and Deputy Mayor of Prague for the Environment Jana Komrsková.

In his remarks, Ambassador Dyussenbayev emphasized the significance of the project not only in the context of Kazakh-Czech relations but also as part of global efforts to preserve biodiversity. The Kazakh diplomat expressed gratitude to Czech partners, including Prague Zoo and the Czech Armed Forces, for their dedication and highlighted the project as a successful example of ecological diplomacy and effective international cooperation.
