Kazakhstan and Bulgaria focus on economic cooperation
As part of the implementation of priority tasks in the field of economic diplomacy, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev held a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria Nikola Stoyanov, El.kz cites MFA.
During the conversation, specific issues and initiatives were discussed to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, including in priority areas within the framework of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union.
The parties held substantive negotiations on issues related to the preparation and holding of the next fifth meeting of the Kazakh-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, and also agreed to organize a presentation of Kazakhstan's investment potential at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the spring of 2023 with the involvement of National Company «Kazakh Invest» JSC, National company «Kazakh Tourism» JSC, Astana International Financial Center and participation of a wide range of representatives of Bulgarian business.
In addition, the Kazakh diplomat informed the head of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria in detail with the ongoing work in our country within the framework of the political modernization of state institutions of power, including the upcoming early parliamentary elections on March 19, 2023, as well as socio-economic reforms.
Taking this opportunity, HE Temirbayev invited the interlocutor to take part in the work of the Astana International Forum, which will be held on June 8-9, 2023 in Astana.
In turn, N. Stoyanov confirmed his readiness to increase practical cooperation with Kazakhstan in trade, economic and investment spheres.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to maintain close working contacts on all issues discussed during the meeting.
