Kazakhstan and Armenia introduce visa-free regime

25.11.2025 13:36

Kazakhstan and Armenia have officially introduced to a visa-free regime, El.kz reports.

As of November 22, an agreement between Kazakhstan and Armenia has come into force, fully simplifying travel procedures for citizens of both countries.

Kazakhstanis can enter Armenia with their national ID, and Armenian citizens can also visit Kazakhstan using their national ID card. A passport is no longer required for short-term trips.

The visa-free stay allows for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. For longer visits, travelers must obtain a temporary residence permit in advance. Mandatory registration with the internal affairs authorities after 30 days of stay also remains in place.

The new regime is set to significantly simplify mutual travel, reduce costs for travelers, and strengthen people-to-people contacts, including tourism and business ties.
