While on a working trip to Yekaterinburg, Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov held meetings with the heads of large Russian companies, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Head of the Cabinet.

At the meeting with Director General of KAMAZ PJSC Sergey Kogogin, issues of implementing new projects, supplying equipment and launching service centers for commercial vehicles were discussed.

Sergey Kogogin informed the Head of Government about the current activities of the company, the implementation of joint projects, assuring him of the readiness of KAMAZ PJSC to fulfill all previously assumed obligations.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan noted that joint projects with KAMAZ were among the first to be implemented within the framework of the Program of Joint Actions in the Field of Kazakh-Russian Industrial Cooperation.

"Today, at the site of the industrial zone of Kostanay, an iron foundry and a plant for the production of main gears of trucks are being built. These will be high-tech modern production, taking into account the best practices and standards in the field of ecology," Alikhan Smailov said.

In addition, the company is developing another major project - to increase the level of localization of the beams of the leading bridges of trucks.

"Of course, the launch of these projects carries not only an economic, but also a social effect. I am confident that thanks to our joint efforts, they will be successfully and timely implemented," the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan emphasized.

Alikhan Smailov noted that all the necessary conditions for favorable business have been created in Kazakhstan: special economic and industrial zones work effectively, development institutions provide preferential lending and leasing financing, state support measures and preferences for investors are legally fixed.

Vsevolod Levin, President of the Russian Copper Company, discussed the implementation of new projects in the mining and metallurgical industry.

So, "Aktobe Copper Company" until 2024 plans to implement 4 projects for the construction of underground mines worth about 190 billion tenge.

The Head of Government noted that the development of the Koksai and Aidarly fields is of great importance for our country. He stressed Kazakhstan's interest not only in the extraction, but also in the further processing of raw materials and the production of products with high added value.

"The government is working to develop small and medium-sized businesses in the manufacturing industry around large subsoil user enterprises.

I hope that the Russian Copper Company will support this initiative and will actively work in this direction," Alikhan Smailov concluded.
