Kazakh PM and Lukoil CEO discuss cooperation on oil and gas projects

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with Vagit Alekperov, Chairman of the Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.

The parties discussed issues of implementation of cooperative projects in terms of geological exploration and the development of oil fields, as well as the modernization of drilling rigs, logistics and taxation.

Alikhan Smailov emphasized that the Government of Kazakhstan is ready to continue joint work and identify new possible areas of cooperation.

In turn, Vagit Alekperov said that the company is interested in further expanding investments in Kazakhstan and the development of new projects.
