The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held Kazakh-Tajik political consultations with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermukhambet Konuspayev and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the event, the state and prospects of Kazakh-Tajik cooperation were thoroughly considered. The main attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Kazakhstan.
Konuspayev noted with satisfaction the progressive development of bilateral relations, especially the stable trusting political dialogue, as well as the expansion of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
In turn, S. Imomi highly appreciated the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral relations, as well as the results of the 17th meeting of the Kazakh-Tajik intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, held on April 24 this year in Astana.
During the meeting, the heads of the delegation also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agendas, noted fruitful cooperation within the framework of multilateral formats.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and strategic partnership, expressing readiness to continue constructive cooperation at the level of the foreign ministries of the two states.
