Kazakh swimmers take 11 gold, 8 silver medals at Asian Aquatics Championships

Olympic champion Dmitry Balandin commented on the performance of Kazakh swimmers at the Asian Aquatics Championships in New Clark City (Philippines), El.kz reports citing the press service of NOC.

In the first two days of competition, Kazakh athletes won 11 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze medals, set 6 championship records.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate all the athletes and coaching staff on their excellent performance at the Asian Aquatics Championships among age groups. Six months ago, the guys performed at the Junior World Championships, where they showed excellent results, and now they have proven that they are the best in Asia. This, of course, gives us faith that at the future Asian Games 2026 and the Olympic Games 2028 in Los Angeles we will claim the highest places," Balandin said.
