Kazakh specialists win at International Olympiad on Financial Security
Representatives of Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took part at International Olympiad on Financial Security in Sochi, El.kz reports.
In the format of an interactive discussion, specialists competed in financial analysis to identify complex fraud schemes and effective methods of combating them.
From Kazakhstan, the case of the ATAIX Eurasia ltd. crypto exchange, prepared by Aidyn Mukashev, was presented to the competition. In his case, the specialist revealed a scheme using droppers and VPNs, which allowed experts to determine the ultimate organizer of the criminal scheme. Such an innovative approach aroused great interest, and it was decided to share this experience in the Eurasian space.
Experts noted the high readiness of the Kazakh AML/CFT system to modern challenges and threats.
The Olympiad brought together more than 600 participants, including the best schoolchildren and students from 36 countries of the world. The Kazakh team was represented by 10 students and undergraduates of the country's leading universities.
