Under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev, a meeting of the Chamber was held, at which deputies considered a number of Laws and announced their deputy requests, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the senators considered and approved the Law "On Ratification of the Agreement on the Procedure and Conditions for The Elimination of Technical Barriers in Mutual Trade with Third Countries". The agreement provides for mutual recognition of the results of assessing the conformity of products with the requirements established in the EAEU and in the territory of a third country.

At the same time, in accordance with the norms of the document, the equivalence of the accreditation procedures of conformity assessment bodies applied in the Member States and in the third country should be ensured.

The Law "On Ratification of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Areas of Activity of Border Representatives" also received the approval of the senators. Ratification of this Protocol will make it possible to pursue a coordinated border policy between the two countries aimed at maintaining good-neighborly relations, developing mutually beneficial economic and other cooperation, ensuring human rights and freedoms, and protecting the interests of each participating state.

"Over the years of independence, close friendly relations have been established between the two neighboring and fraternal countries. Strengthening cooperation is of particular importance for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, the Law approved today is of great importance for strengthening our interstate cooperation. This Protocol is one of the main steps towards further development of partnership between our countries," Maulen Ashimbayev said, commenting on the approved law.
