Lyceum School №2 of Kokshetau Gaukhar Zhakimova graduate proudly represented Kazakhstan at the One Young World international summit held in Munich. The young participant became the sole representative of our country and, at the opening ceremony, was honored with the mission of raising the state flag of Kazakhstan in the Olympic arena, El.kz reports citing kokshetautoday.
Her participation became possible thanks to a full scholarship of £4,250 (about 3.75 million tenge). Gaukhar successfully passed a highly competitive selection process with 75,000 applicants, making it into the top less than 1% of finalists — a result that highlights the level of her achievements and recognition on the international stage.
The summit brought together young leaders from 196 countries. Among the speakers were the Queen of Jordan, the Princess of Bavaria, the Mayor of Munich, the UN Secretary-General, as well as representatives of major companies such as BMW, Siemens, Microsoft, and other global corporations.
Many delegates noted that it was their first time meeting a participant from Kazakhstan. For Gaukhar, this was not only a personal accomplishment but also an opportunity to present her country, its culture, and its proactive youth on the world stage, strengthening interest in Kazakhstan and its role in global dialogue.
