Kazakh schoolchildren win prizes at World Robotics Olympiad in Panama
Kazakh schoolchildren won prizes at the World Robotics Olympiad, which was held in Panama. School students from grades 6-11, aged 10 to 19, represented Kazakhstan at the international level, competing with participants from more than 80 countries, El.kz reports.
The Olympiad was aimed at supporting and developing talented schoolchildren in the fields of robotics, programming and engineering. Teams from Kazakhstan showed outstanding results:
A team from Astana, consisting of 10th graders Ansar Saurbayev and Amir Karabayev, won a silver medal in the "Future Engineers" category.
Vagiz Disembayev and Zhanarys Kaparov, 8th and 9th grade students from Astana, took third place in the "Robo Mission" category, receiving bronze medals.
Another bronze medal went to 11th-graders Maxim Usoltsev and Dinmukhamed Abdiyev from Kyzylorda in the "Future Engineers" category.
