Kazakh schoolchildren take part in Robotics Championship in US
From April 19 to April 22, the FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP – 2023 is being held in the American city of Houston. 600 teams from 110 countries take part in it, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
About 50 Kazakh schoolchildren went to defend the honor of the country. Young inventors will present technical robots and scientific projects on energy to the international jury. Recall that the national team was formed at the Central Asian Games FIRST Central Asia, held with the support of the Ministry of Education in February this year.
"The participants of the final competition in the junior category "Adeptus Mechanicus" were a team from Almaty and the middle category "Play 4 Energy". In the senior category among schoolchildren 12-18 years old, the teams "AENTA" and "NIS Kyran". All of them are the winners of the national stage," said Gazhdembek Tursunov, director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn".
According to the results of the first day of the competition, Kazakh schoolchildren secured their leadership positions.
"Our students are already real champions. They perfected their robots and scientific projects tirelessly. We hope to please our country with high victories," said Asylbek Murzakhmetov, head of the USTEM Robotics Foundation.
