Kazakh school students win 7 medals at International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence

Team Kazakhstan achieved one of the best results at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), held from August 2 to 9 in Beijing. The team brought home 3 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals, as well as an honorary certificate from the organizing committee, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.

In the unofficial medal standings, Kazakhstan shared 2nd place in the number of gold medals with Poland, India, and Vietnam (3 golds each). The leading team was Russia, with 6 gold medals. Other top-performing countries included Singapore (2 golds), and Romania, Japan, Sweden, and Hong Kong (1 gold each).

IOAI is a prestigious international competition where participants solve both individual and team tasks in the field of artificial intelligence, including image and video generation, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.

The Olympiad also features an educational program with lectures by global experts, ethical discussions, and cultural events.
