Kazakh President visits Situation Center of Almaty
The Head of State visited the Situation Center of the city of Almaty, which allows you to receive information about the life of the metropolis in real time. Mayor of the city Yerbolat Dossaev told Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that the center will be an effective tool for making high-quality decisions based on Big Data analysis and the introduction of the Open Data concept, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
The center allows you to collect and analyze data on all aspects of the city's life, inform the population and receive feedback from residents by the city authorities. Currently, the Almaty Situation Center consists of 53 modules covering all spheres of the city's life.
In accordance with the instructions of the President, special attention is paid to the safety of children. In 2023, for the first time in Almaty, comprehensive security systems were introduced in all public schools and kindergartens. The Head of State was informed that the system includes 4 components: digital video surveillance cameras, buttons, fire safety systems, face recognition camera.
"Artificial intelligence should serve to improve the well-being of citizens, and, in particular, the residents of Almaty. Therefore, I support your plans to implement artificial intelligence tools. This is the first point. Secondly, it is necessary to pay special attention to the transport situation in the city. This can be seen with the naked eye. This is a very urgent problem. This is where artificial intelligence has a role to play. And, of course, security. Safety should be in the first place," the leader of Kazakhstan said.
