Kazakh President noted importance of eliminating corruption causes

The Head of State received the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency Askhat Zhumagali, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the measures taken to combat corruption in the country. In particular, in the first quarter of this year, more than 500 corruption crimes were registered, more than 400 persons were exposed to corruption, including 53 managers of various levels.

According to Askhat Zhumagali, since January 23, the business zhol project has been launched, aimed at eliminating administrative barriers to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. About 7 thousand entrepreneurs have already received assistance within the framework of the project.

The Head of State was also provided with information on preventive and preventive measures to prevent corruption crimes. Thus, this year the Anti-Corruption Service made 769 recommendations and proposals to eliminate corruption risks.

The President noted the exceptional importance of eliminating systemic causes and conditions conducive to corruption. He also instructed to pay special attention to the identification and suppression of corruption among high-ranking officials.
