Kazakh President discusses priorities of cybersecurity and protection of critical infrastructure with NSC leadership

The Head of State held a meeting with NSC leadership, El.kz citing reports Aqorda.
Kazakh President was briefed on the activities of operational and technical units, paying special attention to modern digital solutions used by the special services.
Projects in the field of government and departmental communications, cybersecurity, as well as developments using artificial intelligence technologies were demonstrated.
During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard reports on the current state and prospects of work in the field of information and cybersecurity. President Tokayev emphasized the importance of timely responses to cyber threats, protection of critical infrastructure, and the uninterrupted functioning of government systems.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the need to modernize the national cybersecurity system, develop domestic IT solutions, and strengthen inter-agency cooperation in the face of increasing external and internal challenges.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of specific instructions aimed at improving the mechanisms for preventing and responding to threats in the digital environment.
