Kazakh Premier League clubs must create women's football teams
From 2025, all Kazakh football clubs participating in the Premier League will be required to create women's teams, El.kz reports with reference to the Kazakhstan Football Federation.
This decision has been approved at a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in May 2024 in Dublin.
From January 1, 2025, each Premier League club will have to create a women's team that will be able to participate in these competitions.
This decision is part of the long-term Strategy for the Development of Kazakh Football until 2034, which aims to actively develop women's football in the country. It is expected that these measures will significantly improve the level of women's football, as well as provide equal opportunities for female athletes and strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the international arena.
