Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Yusuff Ali MA Chairman & Managing Director of LuLu Group. The parties discussed prospects for implementing investment projects in Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial sector and trade, El.kz reports citing primeminister.kz.

Yusuff Ali noted that the company imports Kazakhstani meat and agricultural products and expressed his intention to expand cooperation, emphasizing the country’s strong potential and favorable investment conditions.

Attention was given to the company’s plans to build a meat processing plant and an agricultural distribution center in Kazakhstan.

Olzhas Bektenov stressed that Kazakhstan is interested in implementing these initiatives, which correspond with the objectives of scaling up deep agricultural processing projects outlined by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address.

Today, Kazakhstani agricultural products are exported to over 70 countries. The Republic intends to double this figure by tripling productivity in the sector.

“The agro-industrial complex has traditionally played an important role in the country’s economy. Kazakhstan is open to expanding cooperation — from creating joint agrotechnoparks and export-oriented logistics hubs to developing e-commerce and other projects. All the necessary conditions for this are in place in our country,” Olzhas Bektenov emphasized.

Following the meeting, government agencies were instructed to provide the necessary support for project implementation.
