Kazakh Ministry of Justice intends to involve national law firms to represent state interests at international level
Within the framework of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the leadership of Minister Azamat Yeskaraev, the first International Practical Conference was held, focused on discussing the protection and representation of the interests of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad, El.kz reports.
At the opening of the conference, the Minister emphasized the role of the Ministry of Justice in protecting and representing state interests in foreign arbitrations and judicial bodies, as well as the effective implementation of the strategy for the economical use of budget funds established by the President of the country.
This is the first time that such an issue has been discussed since Kazakhstan's independence.
The conference, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, attracted the attention of the legal community of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by more than 100 participants, including representatives of the public sector, quasi-governmental structures and the interested public.
The conference was attended by representatives of leading international and Kazakhstani law firms, including Latham & Watkins, Sayat Zholshy & Partners, Tukulov, Kassilgov, Shaikenov Disputes, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, White & Case and others.
The main focus of the conference discussions was on exploring ways to use the capabilities of Kazakhstani law firms in this area
The participants of the conference were provided with a platform to present their own initiatives and ask questions to both speakers and representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, followed by comprehensive answers.
At the end of the event, the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers for holding such an important event, emphasized the relevance of the topics discussed and expressed their readiness to contribute to the development of this area.
The goals and objectives voiced at the conference are aimed at creating a cadre of specialists capable of protecting state interests. The involvement of local law firms will help keep taxpayers' funds within the economy of Kazakhstan.
It is planned that such conferences will be held annually.
