Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information changes approaches to film production

The ministry has published a list of priority topics for film production for 2024, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.

This year, about 30 films shot with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan may be released. At the moment, 29 full-length films shot in different years are fully ready. Production of half of them has already been completed, and some of the earlier works have not yet been released for various reasons.

The annual script selection competition has already started. The topics of the competition scripts must correspond to a certain category. In this regard, the priority topics for the selection of film projects in 2024 have become known.

The start of accepting applications for the competition will be announced later.
