Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education gets acquainted with dormitories of Kyzylorda University
The Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek during a working trip to the Kyzylorda region got acquainted with the dormitories of the Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata, El.kz reports with reference to the ministry.
The Minister began his working visit at the Orkeniyet dormitory, where he met with students. The dormitory is designed for 274 beds, currently 255 university students live here. During the meeting, Sayasat Nurbek listened to the proposals of the university students. He noted that the main task is to provide students with dormitories in the republic, in the regions this issue has been resolved.
Then he met with the students of the DilMash dormitory. The dormitory is designed for 170 beds, today 162 students of universities live there .
Sayasat Nurbek also got acquainted with the work of the Seyhun sports and recreation complex, on the basis of which physical education classes, sports sections in mini-football, volleyball, swimming, table tennis are organized. In addition, competitions and sports competitions of all levels are held.
During the visit to the student dormitory No. 5, the minister got acquainted with the life of students. The building is designed for 400 students. Currently, 386 students live here. According to representatives of the university, the dormitory has created maximum conditions for education and effective leisure of young people.
The rooms are designed for 2-4 people, equipped with the necessary furniture. The dormitory has rooms for seminars, a library and computer classes, a canteen, a laundry room, and a tennis gym. There is a sports ground in the courtyard, and a new football field was put into operation in 2023.
It is worth noting that the university has five student dormitories for 1230 beds. At the moment, another dormitory for 350 places is under construction.
