Kazakh Minister of National Economy held meeting with President of World Economic Forum
During the meeting, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov stated the need for close cooperation in order to increase the sustainability of global supply chains, including the creation of regional food centers with appropriate logistics and infrastructure. In this regard, Kazakhstan is ready to act as a transport hub to reduce the routes of both freight and passenger traffic, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey signed a Roadmap to eliminate trade bottlenecks and develop the Middle Corridor for 2022-2027. The implementation of the project will increase the capacity of the Trans-Caspian corridor to 10 million cargoes by 2025.
Kuantyrov also stressed that Kazakhstan welcomes the initiatives of the World Economic Forum to promote women's rights, the special contribution of the WEF in support of gender balance, education, development and professional growth of women.
