Kazakh Minister of Information speaks at X Baku Global Forum
Minister of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kydyrali spoke at the X Baku Global Forum, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
Noting that the tenth forum is already becoming a traditional intellectual platform, Darkhan Kydyrali recalled the speech of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
He also stressed that since the very first days of independence, Kazakhstan has been pursuing a consistent policy in the field of nuclear disarmament. The Semipalatinsk test site was closed and we have demonstrated our commitment to the principles of a nuclear-weapon-free world before the international community.
The Minister said that the global and regional challenges facing the world community indicate the need for special attention to information security. The development of new technologies not only creates conditions for improving the quality of human life, but also solves the issue of growing challenges.
Scientists suggest that artificial intelligence will improve the work of governments and will contribute to solving complex problems of society in the XXI century. Along with this, the relevance of ethics in the media and digitalization is increasing. Therefore, the issues of regulating the use of artificial intelligence, as well as creating rules for its application, should be widely discussed in the intellectual environment," Darkhan Kydyrali said.
The minister also added that it is necessary to pay attention to the ecological state of the Caspian Sea.
"The Caspian Sea is the basic resource of the economies of the five Caspian littoral countries. However, as scientists have found, by the end of the XXI century, the volume of the Caspian Sea may decrease. This jeopardizes the ecosystem and economic security of the Caspian region," he said.
The Baku Global Forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, well-known political figures and scientists from all over the world.
